CONNERSMITH is proud to present Erik Thor Sandberg’s oil paintings and Wilmer Wilson IV’s sculptures at The Armory Show. 

For the 2019 Focus section, Lauren Haynes, curator of Contemporary Art, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, selected works by today’s most relevant and compelling artists. 

CONNERSMITH’s position asserts skin as a metaphor for the body’s relationships with social constructs. Through imagery evocative of shedding, renewal and growth, Sandberg and Wilson query the chemistry of mutable identity, shaping a discourse on the fluidity of interfaces between self and society.
