Founded in 1999 by Leigh Conner and Dr. Jamie Smith, CONNERSMITH specializes in selling Contemporary and Post-War fine art.

Predicated upon discovery, curatorial vision, and art historical expertise, CONNERSMITH’s expertise in art and the art market spans two and a half decades.

We maintain long-term representation of internationally influential artists including Erik Thor Sandberg, Sheldon Scott, Maria Friberg, Nick Ervinck, John Stark, Susan MacWilliam and Shannon Taggart. Presenting works in diverse media, CONNERSMITH promotes art that contributes to important art-historical movements, with focuses on innovations in abstract painting, figural realism, surrealism and current discourses on race, sexual identity, and social justice.

In addition to advancing the careers of contemporary artists, CONNERSMITH expands the legacies of notable fine art estates, which include works by Alma Thomas, Sam Gilliam, Kenneth Noland, Howard Mehring, Thomas Downing, and Kenneth Victor Young.

We publish limited edition fine art prints, catalogs and supporting materials for artists in our program.
