CONNERSMITH.
Art Miami 2017
December 5 – 10, 2017
Booth A221
CONNERSMITH is pleased to present exceptional abstract paintings by post-war artists KENNETH NOLAND, NORMAN BLUHM and HOWARD MEHRING curated from private Washington, DC collections.
We are especially honored to exhibit Kenneth Noland’s early circle painting Untitled, c. 1956. This work embodies the exciting breakthrough Noland made in color field painting when he began to discover his own artistic voice. As Diane Waldman explained in the Guggenheim retrospective catalogue, it was through experimentation with Jackson Pollock-like gestural articulation in Untitled, c. 1956 that Noland found the center of his circular field.
It is a pleasure to present new oil paintings by ERIK THOR SANDBERG, sculptures by SUSAN MACWILLIAM and digital light sculptures by LEO VILLAREAL.
We are also delighted that BARRY X BALL’s “Perfect Forms” (24k sculpture) will be exhibited at Art Miami 2017 as a part of the special projects section immediately adjacent to our stand.
